Coalition of Advocates and Attorneys Network (CAAN)
The Coalition of Advocates and Attorneys Network (CAAN) was organized by BWJP to facilitate communication with and among state coalition legal and policy practitioners in order to enhance the knowledge, expertise and leadership of its participants, and to promote public policies and practices that are responsive to the needs of battered women and their children. Through a private Wiki space, ongoing technical assistance and an annual meeting, BWJP staff works with these practitioners to identify and assess effective legal and policy strategies to benefit victims of domestic violence and their children.
