Research has established that a history of trauma can result in a variety of problems such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), depression, substance abuse, and other health and mental health conditions. This webinar discusses these co-occurring conditions and the effect they have on functioning in all areas of a survivor’s life as well as how they impact risk and danger and the ability to access services. It also addresses a trauma-informed approach to intervention in the context of safety and survivor-centered care.
