Duluth advocates Jill Abernathy, DAIP, and Beth Olson, First Witness Child Abuse Resource Center, share their experience developing the wheel that describes batterer tactics used against mothers and children after separation or during custody disputes. Recognizing these tactics can help advocates, system practitioners, attorneys and battered women better strategize and plan for safety after leaving abusive relationships.
