	A Message to Victims of Domestic Violence: The Battered Women's Justice Project primarily provides support and technical assistance to organizations and professionals engaged in the criminal and civil justice system’s response to domestic violence. We do not take on individual cases or provide legal representation to individuals. Our ability to assist victims with their individual cases is limited to the provision of general information about the criminal and civil justice systems and how domestic violence cases are typically processed, but we can help you focus your questions about the criminal and civil legal system. We can also refer you to other resources that are available locally and nationally, and explain what they might have to offer you. When BWJP can't help . . .
