This webinar is hosted by the Battered Women's Justice Project and is open to the public.

This webinar will focus on current practices and issues related to batterers intervention programs (BIPs).  David Adams of Emerge and Melissa Petrangelo Scaia, former executive director of the Duluth Model and current Director of International Training at Global Rights for Women have worked with men who batter in BIPs for over 20 years each.  They will share their historical perspective on BIPs, current practices and trends related to BIPs across the US.  Melissa will also share a pilot project she is working on related to offering a BIP using videoconference technology.
